Black Rose introduced it's newest design and product material, Crystal Cracked Glass, at NeoCon recently. Working with european glass artisans and craftsmen, we have developed an amazing 1-⅛" thick tempered glass building and design material. Black Rose is currently incorporated the glass panels into our own designs (Aristate Coffee Table, Rhizine Coffee Table, Arboretum Wine Table, Thallus Conference Table, and the Venation Hallway Table), as well as producing and shipping to designers throughout the world as panels to be incorporated in others' work, such as glass accents, architectural pieces and interiors, stairs, privacy panels or a myriad of other applications limited only by the designer's creativity.

The glass consisted of three triple-tempered glass panel layers fused together and featuring ultra-polished beveled edges. The outside layers are clear glass with the middle layer featured a cracked or "crackled" effect.

The "crackled" appearance has the ability to pick up and absorb and reflect colors surrounding it. It also can be utilized as privacy glass with the dramatic effect of diffusing the items and people on the opposite side of the glass, but allowing the full spectrum of light and color to pass through.

The glass panels can be made to order to specific sizes and shapes, including radiused edges and various thicknesses.

The 1-⅛" thick glass panels are rated to hold 150 lbs. per square ft., making it possible to use as stair steps, heavy shelving and wall dividers or partitions.

The glass is engineered to be clear, with a minimum of color so designers don't need to factor a string addition green glass color into their color palettes.
